MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Behind Every Timeless Frame

Hi, I'm Aashish, the founder and creative force behind Varahi Captures. Based in Vijayawada, I work as a cinematic wedding photographer across Andhra Pradesh — wedding films, candid and traditional coverage, pre-wedding shoots, celebrity portraits and every celebration in between.

Photography, for me, is more than capturing images—it's about preserving emotions, traditions and once-in-a-lifetime moments. A Telugu wedding moves fast, so we plan each ritual in advance and stay calm and unobtrusive while it unfolds, from the haldi to the last frame of the reception.

Over the years our team has photographed temple weddings, luxury pre-wedding stories, celebrity events and family celebrations in Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali, Gannavaram, Eluru, Machilipatnam and Amaravati, creating memories families return to for generations.

Our Story

HOW VARAHI CAPTURES STARTED

Varahi Captures began in Vijayawada with a simple preference: we wanted to shoot weddings the way films are made — planned in advance, lit with intent and edited into one continuous story rather than a folder of photographs. That approach is still how we work on every event, whether it is a temple wedding in the old city or a three-day celebration at a resort outside town.

Most of our work comes from couples and families who saw a wedding we shot for someone they know. Because of that, we keep the team small enough that the person you speak to while planning is on the floor on the day of your wedding.

Photography philosophy
Rituals are not interrupted for a photograph. We plan around the ceremony, use light rather than fight it, and let the candid frames happen instead of staging them.

We do not oversell crew we cannot field, promise turnaround we cannot meet, or claim awards and credentials we have not earned.
Professional Workflow

OUR CREATIVE PROCESS

The same six steps run on every booking, from a single portrait session to a multi-day wedding.

  1. 1. Enquiry & availability

    You send the date, venue and functions on WhatsApp or by phone. We confirm whether the date is open and reply with an itemised quotation.

  2. 2. Planning call

    We go through the itinerary, muhurtham timing, family priorities, must-have portraits and any venue restrictions.

  3. 3. Recce & shot plan

    Where possible we visit or study the venue, check the light at the relevant hours and decide crew, lighting and drone positions.

  4. 4. Shoot day

    The crew arrives ahead of schedule, works to the plan and keeps out of the ritual. Portraits happen in the gaps, not in the middle of ceremonies.

  5. 5. Selection & post-production

    We cull, colour-grade and retouch in-house so the gallery and the film share one look.

  6. 6. Delivery

    Highlight images first, then the full gallery, then the cinematic film. Album design follows if you have chosen it.
